Childcare Subsidy
Childcare Subsidy is a payment that helps families with the cost of pre-school childcare for up to 50 hours per week, depending on your circumstances.
This payment can be made for each child in your family that is eligible. This payment is made directly to the child care provider that the child attends.
If you get any payments from MSD, you may get less.

Home-based educator top up payment
If your child is enrolled with a home-based educator who charges you top up payments for the same hours as 20 Hours ECE funded hours, we may be able to help with these costs.
We don't think you can get this because:
-
None of your children are eligible
However you do meet these requirements:
-
You are a New Zealand Citizen or Resident
-
You normally live in New Zealand
