Family Tax Credit

This payment is part of the Working for Families Tax Credits from Inland Revenue. How much you get depends on your family situation.

You may be able to get other tax credits as well. You can find out more about these from Inland Revenue .

  • We don't think you can get this because:

    • You are not eligible to receive a main service from MSD

    • None of your dependent children are eligible

  • However you do meet these requirements:

    • You are not eligible for New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran’s Pension. Family Tax Credit is administered by Inland Revenue for these services

    You don't need to do anything to get this payment - if you qualify, it will be paid to you automatically. If you are not receiving a Young Parent Payment, you can choose to get paid by Work and Income or Inland Revenue.

    If you can apply online for more than one service, you only need to fill out the form once.
