MySkill General Healthcare Programme

Kickstart your healthcare journey with a flexible, fully online learning pathway leading to the New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 2) delivered by My Skill, part of the New Zealand Health Group, New Zealand's largest private healthcare provider.

Perfect for those new to the industry, this programme provides a supportive and structured entry into the world of caregiving. You'll begin with a Taster Course —a bespoke introduction to the role of a healthcare support worker delivered through the Digital Suite platform.

After completing the Taster Course, you'll move into Pre-Employment Training , which includes two NZQA-accredited online modules:

Understanding a Person's Rights (23685)
Medication Support – Stage 1 (23685)

These are designed to be completed within 3 months at your own pace.

Once you've completed the Pre-employment Training, the New Zealand Health Group Recruitment Team will provide Employment Support to place participants into vacancies within the NZ Health Group's network of over 30 organisations, based on your location, availability, and readiness to work.

Once employed, you'll continue with Post-Employment Training , completing the remaining credits within 6 months required for the Level 2 Certificate while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a real-world care setting.

Prerequisites

Full or Restricted Driver's License is required, as roles will involve community-based work. Access to a vehicle is necessary to transport care recipients. Additionally, clients must provide two character references, which is standard practice for employment placements within the community health sector.
