If you want to start your own business, we may be able to provide a subsidy to help with costs while you get started.

How to apply for Flexi-wage for self-employment

Call us on 0800 559 009 and we'll book you an appointment to come in and see us. If you have a business plan, you'll need to bring this with you.

At the appointment, we'll:

ask you about your business
talk with you about:
- how to create a business plan, if you don't already have one
- a Business Training and Advice Grant and how this may be able to help.

We then send your business plan away to get independently assessed to make sure that it's viable.

We'll let you know the outcome, and if it's approved we'll send you a contract. You need to complete the contract and email it back to us along with proof of your bank account number, for example a bank statement or deposit slip.

You'll be paid once the contract has been processed.

If you can apply online for more than one service, you only need to fill out the form once.
