Supported Living Payment (Carers)

Supported Living Payment is a weekly payment to help you if you are caring for someone with a health condition, injury or disability.

We need more information because:

We don't know if you are 16 years or older

We don't know if you have lived continuously in New Zealand for at least 2 years since becoming a NZ citizen or permanent resident

We don't know if you are not studying

We don't know if either:

You are 18 or over, do not have dependent children, and you are caring full time for someone at home who is not your partner

You are 20 or over, have dependent children, and you are caring full time for someone at home who is not your partner

We don't know if your income is below the cutoff

However you do meet these requirements:

You are a New Zealand Citizen or Resident

How to apply for Supported Living Payment (Carers)

You can complete and submit your application form online.

We'll also check to see if you can get any other help from us, based on the answers you give in your application form.

If you can apply online for more than one service, you only need to fill out the form once.
